DIY Soothing Skin Salve/Balm

A good salve can be the base to many amazing recipes. Similar to the texture of petroleum jelly, you can customize this salve with essential oils to meet your needs. The options are endless!

Ingredients:
1 cup almond oil
2 tablespoons beeswax (Approx 40g of solid wax)
1/2 tablespoon vitamin E oil
9 drops of Lavender, 9 drops of Peppermint, 7 drops of Frankincense
Directions:
  1. Melt beeswax in double boiler
  2. Once melted, add almond, and vitamin E oil until melted
  3. Once combined, set aside for 2-3 minutes
  4. Add essential oils and stir
  5. Pour in container and allow to set for 2 hours
  6. To use, apply to skin where needed

Ideal for dry skin, eczema, itchy patches, rashes, scrapes. I use mine on my hands after washing dishes/cleaning to restore moisture. I also use on my feet which dry out ridiculously! All over body itches, works a treat! Let’s not forget to mention that this blend of oils is also wonderful in calming and relaxing so apply at bedtime (or anytime you want) for better sleep (or relaxation)!

The above recipe is my altered version to doTERRA’s. I removed the grapeseed oil and used almond oil in its place. I used the oils I wanted and I used more drops! Add to your liking
